Revision and Testing of Dana Spicer Transmissions: Calibration and Thermal Tests
After every revision or repair, we conduct thorough bench testing on Dana Spicer transmissions. Recently, we repaired and tested a state-of-the-art transmission and torque converter with electronic management.
The testing process includes:
- Measuring oil flow rates using flow meters
- Measuring pressures with digital gauges
- Calibration through the electronic control unit connected to Dana’s management software
- Monitoring lubricant temperature with a thermal scanner to detect anomalies and overheating
